WORLD CHANGING WOMEN WEDNESDAY: ELLEN OCHOA

“What everyone in the astronaut corps shares in common is not gender or ethnic background, but motivation, perseverance, and desire - the desire to participate in a voyage of discovery.”

In honour of Earth Day we wanted to celebrate a woman that has made remarkable history on our planet and beyond as the first Latina to go to space.

The Los Angeles born Stanford Grad has a master of science degree in physics from San Diego State as well as a master of science degree. Oh yeah and she has a doctorate in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

The former Nasa astronaut is now the current Director of the Johnson Space Center and has influenced women around the world (including us!) for her innovation in science, exploration and in achieving the unimaginable.

Today we name Ellen Ochoa our World Changing Woman of the day. Thank you for inspiring us and showing that anything and anywhere is possible to conquer.
